Escape Room at School – “I didn’t want this class to end”

In Vantaa’s Rekola school escape rooms are part of teaching. Take a look how the sixth-graders Pasi, Tuomas, Juuso and Emil succeed solving the puzzles and riddles.

– Perhaps the best thing was to open the locks. I didn’t want this class to end, says Pasi.

In Rekola two teachers, Kaisu Nordling and Susan Kotiranta-Kettunen, have brainstormed escape games together.

– School is catching up to present. Escape room is a good way to iterate the things you already learned. It’s also good for problem solving and teamwork skills, Kotiranta-Kettunen says.
